A) Theme Installation and preparation - top

A.1) Package content - top

Upon downloading the Dexi package from Themeforest, you will find the following content in the archive:

- Documentation - which you're reading now.
- Dexi.zip Package - archive with installable Dexi Wordpress Theme.
- PSD.zip - archive with all pages PSD's files.

A.2) Uploading and Installing - top

a: WordPress Method

In order to install Dexi theme, go to Appearance->Themes->Add New->Upload in your Wordpress Admin Panel, locate Dexi.zip on your harddrive and click install. After the theme is installed successfully, activate it!

b: FTP Method
  • Log into your site via FTP
  • Browse to your folder located at wp-content/themes
  • Unzip the Dexi.zip folder and upload only the extracted Dexi folder to your server
  • Log Into Wordpress and go to Appearance → Themes
  • Find the theme and click to activate.

A.3) Required plugins - top

After you've activated the theme, a message will appear on the top of the page, informing you of required and recommended plugins. We strongly recommend installing those BEFORE importing demo data. Bundled plugins are:

- Featured Image Gallaries Plugin (required) - for add multi Featured Image
- Newsletter (required) - for add newsletter in footer
- Dexi Post Type (required) - add dexi post type wordpress plugin use for testimonial, company, slider, portfolio, faq, Team member
- Contact Form 7 (recommended) - contact form plugin with Dexi-specific styling
- Elementor Page Builder (required) - for manage all pages.

Please install and activate those plugins. If you're planning to use other plugin, you should install it before importing demo content. other plugin is not included in recommended plugins, so you will need to install it separatelly from Wordpress Plugin Repository (Plugins->Add New, search for WooCommerce).

A.4) Demo Content - top

We strongly recommend you to use demo data, if you are running a fresh Wordpress installation, but you may also use it for an existing website (your current content will not be removed/altered).

First, go to Appearance->Theme Options->Demo Importer

Once the demo content is imported, all the menus set automatically.
But in case if you don't see then all you will need to set up the navigation. Go to Appearance->Menus.
Please select Main Menu in drop down and click button on Save Menu (Check below screenshot).

After, scroll down to the bottom of the page, check Primary Navigation Menu option, Save menu. Dexi

A.6) Setting up frontpage - top

Go to Settings->Reading, check A static page option, and from the Front Page please Select Home. Save Changes.

Go to Settings->Permalinks, check Post name option. Save changes.

Your theme is now ready to use. There are however, a few minor adjustments you need to set up before it looks like the demo, so please, continue reading next section of this tutorial.

There are more theme options under the Theme Panel where you can set up basic and advanced settings. Main theme options sections are:

Overall Setup is Dexi theme options section where are all overall settings all together. Simple list of those sections are:

  • Theme Layout
  • Home Page Layout
  • Theme Style Setting
  • Favicon

Theme Layout

This part of theme options is reserved for some Theme Layout, Body Background Color your website might have which will appear of the website on each page. This Theme Layout can be permanent or users can close it. Beside that you can change color of the body background and layout of Theme.

This Home Page Layout can be change home style 1, home style 2 and each have onepage.

Theme Style Setting

Theme Style Setting is manage two type option Theme Primary Color, Theme Secondary Color. Beside that you can change color of the theme.

Favicon Setting is manage with theme option.

This is another part of theme options is Header Setting is manage header logo and header style where have Header logo, add logo image for header and header style. Use for header style as Transparent Background, Background Color.
